IUPUI Biomolecular Engineering Lab
The IUPUI Biomolecular Engineering Lab was established in 1998 within the inter-school, inter-campus Biomedical Engineering Program at IUPUI (Indiana University, Purdue University, Indianapolis).

We are committed to integrate biology and engineering and to address fundamental and challenging questions in mechanotransduction.  Using smart piezoelectric devices as well as the genomics and proteomics tools, we investigate a system dynamics in molecular and cellular responses to mechanical loads.  Modern control and estimation theories are used to build mathematical models of complex, nonlinear regulatory systems.

Research Areas
1. Genomics and Proteomics of Mechanotransduction
2.

Bioinformatics and Computational Biology

3.

Mechanical Devices
